Mungyodance 2 was the second game in the Mungyodance series. It was developed by Emphatic Games, and was the last game developed by them before their transition into Monakai, a subsidary of VULPvibe Records. It was released on May 23rd, 2007. There were 464 total songs in the game.
Details[]
Mungyodance 2 included nearly all of the songs from Mungyodance, plus 295 new songs which were listed as Blue in the songlist. It differed from the original Mungyodance in many ways however, such as via the renaming of 'Streaks' to 'Combos', the removal of the announcer, the removal of note judgements, with them being replaced by a simple hit-or-miss system, and the removal of letter grades, being replaced with an 8 paw grading system, 8 paws meaning no notes were missed. and progressively getting worse with fewer paws.
Extra Mode, a mode that allowed songs to be played with scripted modifiers, was added. Nonstop songs, similar to the Nonstop Remixes of Pump it Up and the Nonstop Megamixes of DDR Solo were added. The package system was modified to be more secure, actually involving encryption. The modifier choice screen present in Mungyodance 1 was removed, being replaced by a speed mod selector on the song select and Extra Mode select screens.
Beta[]
During the beta phase of Mungyodance 2's development, the game was planned to have channels similar to Mungyodance 3's. The channel selection menu and two channel banners from that menu had graphical leftovers in the game. Leftovers of Mungyodance's beta and a classic StepMania unlock screen (also found as a leftover in Mungyodance) weren't removed during development and were found in the theme. Sugarkill Zonkers is listed in the unlock file. A typo in the same file also caused Sugarkill Breakdown to be unlocked at the start, when it was supposed to be an unlock.

Trivia[]
- Due to an oversight in development, the game does not work out of the box and requires a program called "Skill0_Fix.exe", referred to as "THE MGD2 CRASH FIXER", which allows it to not crash when selecting a song. This is mentioned on the original download page of the Mungyodance 2 download page.
- There used to be a "LAZYMAN UNLOCKED APPLICATION" ("unlock_all.exe") which would unlock all the songs from the get-go. The current whereabouts of this program are unknown and it may be lost forever.
