Early in the original Mungyodance's development, an "ad campaign" was started for it.
Three images were created with then prominent figures in the music game world featured in them, with Mungyodance somehow edited into them in one way or another, having text at the bottom saying said person liked the game.
To date, the original Mungyodance was the only MGD to have a "real" ad campaign made for it (i.e, the game's existence wasn't spread via word of mouth and Bemanistyle news posts). Until MGD3 was announced, it was also the only MGD to have boxart created for it.
